The Saline County Library will feature Little Rock resident Pamela Gibson in a Christmas-themed harp performance at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Boswell Library in Bryant and at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 at Herzfeld Library in Benton. The performance will feature The Polar Express and is open to the public.
Gibson’s husband will accompany her with storytelling during this family-friendly event, according to Head of Adult Services Sarah Sewell.
“This is a special holiday musical story time that is appropriate for all ages.”
Gibson performs world music of the past 1000 years on a walnut Celtic harp and typically creates her programs from a variety of music ranging from medieval chant to contemporary pop.
A student of the UCA Community School of Music and independent learner, Gibson has performed at venues such as the Arkansas State Fair and the Lyon College Scottish Festival and has published several works that are sold nationwide by Vanderbilt Music Company, Melody Music and Lyon and Healy. She released her CD “Women, Children & Angels” in 2005. Call 778-4766.
