Methamphetamine arrests in Garland County

On Thursday investigators with the 18th East Drug Task Force executed two methamphetamine search warrants in the Music Mountain Road area of Hot Springs and Garland County. Investigators concluded a four month investigation into the sale and distribution of methamphetamine's from the addresses of 205 Ledgerock and 400 Music Mountain Road.

The DTF and Garland County Sheriff’s Department had received numerous complaints from each of the addresses and that the occupants of each address were known associates. The known association between the two residences and the fact that methamphetamine was either being produced and or sold from them called for the assistance of the Garland County Tactical Response Team and the Hot Springs Police Department SWAT Team to make the entries and secure the residences simultaneously.

The Hot Springs Police Department SWAT Team executed the search warrant at 400 Music Mountain Road. SWAT members encountered five persons at the residence and they were taken into custody without incident. Items of evidence located at the residence included methamphetamine's and marijuana. Those arrested were Shannon Jones, Ross Bright and Stacey Thompson. Each were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana, Maintaining a Drug Premise and Unauthorized use of Another Person’s Property to Facilitate Certain Crimes. Those arrested were evicted from the property and a Temporary Restraining Order was issued. The residence was deemed as a Nuisance Property and will fall under the Garland County Nuisance Abatement Process.

The Garland County Tactical Response Team executed the search warrant 205 Ledgerock. Tactical team members encountered two persons at the residence, a Clay Adcox and Tonya Lynch. Tactical Team Members had to physically restrain Adcox as he was physically resisting arrest. Both were taken into custody and transported to the Garland County Sheriff’s Department. Items of evidence included, methamphetamine, approximatley 4 pounds of Red-Phorforphous, ¾ pound of Iodine Crystals, and approximatley 2 ½ pounds of pseudoephedrine pills, along with other paraphernalia items used in the methamphetamine manufacturing process. Both Adcox and Lynch were charged with Maintaining a Drug Premise, Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Over Possession of Pseudoephedrine.

The amount of precursors present could have produced approximatley 1 ½ pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of approximatley $67,200. Those arrested were evicted from the property and a Temporary Restraining Order was issued. The residence was deemed as a Nuisance Property and will fall under the Garland County Nuisance Abatement Process.

The 18th East Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Garland County Sheriff’s Department, the Hot Springs Police Department and the Arkansas State Police.
