The Veterans Day Celebration Committee will host a slate of activities in observance of Veterans Day, beginning with the annual Veterans Day Ceremony, beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 11 at the Garland County Veterans Memorial in the Transportation Plaza at Orange Street. Free adjacent parking is available.
The Veterans Day Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Hot Springs at the junction of Whittington, Park and Central avenues, proceeding south on Central Avenue and terminating at Olive Street.
The USO Show will take place from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 12 at Hot Springs Mall. US Stations radio personality Dick Antoine will emcee the show as well as the parade. A free spaghetti dinner for veterans and their guests will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Hot Springs Elks Lodge. A dance featuring the live band, “Straight Country,” will follow at 7 p.m.
