National Park Community College and the National Apprenticeship Training Foundation partnered to offer Arkansas’ first Aerospace Apprenticeship Program. This collaboration provided high school seniors and recent high school graduates an opportunity to attend a 144-hour Aerospace Manufacturing & Repair class at the college. The skills gained during classes provided students with the entry level skills and knowledge needed to work in local aerospace companies. Students also complete 1,000 hours of on-the-job training at a local aerospace company.
NPCC will host an Aerospace Open House on Monday, January 28th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Aerospace Lab on the southside of campus for students interested in the next apprentice class scheduled to begin February 16, 2013. Please contact the college at 501-760-4135 or visit www.npcc.edu/workforce for additional information.
