On December 1, Investigators with the 18th East Drug Task Force and the Hot Springs Police Department Street Crimes Unit executed a joint operations search warrant at 668 Mt. Pine Road in Garland County. The Garland County Tactical Response Team was used for entry and to secure the residence. Upon entry, Tactical Team member’s located four people in the residence and each were taken into custody without incident. Those included the home owners Colin Wayne Stiles and Linda Montgomery as well as two other occupants.
A search of the residence by Investigators produced approximately 2.3 pounds of suspected marijuana, paraphernalia associated with the sale and distribution of marijuana, two loaded rifles and three handguns of which two were loaded.
Colin Wayne Stiles is a convicted felon on inactive supervision in Garland County having been convicted in 1996 for Manufacturing, Delivery, or Possession of a Controlled Substance. Colin Wayne Stiles was charged with Maintaining a Drug Premises, Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver, Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms.
The 18th East Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Garland County Sheriff’s Department, the Hot Springs Police Department and the Arkansas State Police.
