Chanticleers celebrate Ed Marko's birthday

The regular rehearsal of the Chanticleers Men's Barbershop Chorus was held Thursday, September 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Kirk In The Pines Presbyterian, Hot Springs Village.

A large crowd of members, former members and their guests surprised Ed Marko by singing "Happy Birthday" to him in the middle of rehearsal. Cake, coffee, and punch was then served with more singing to follow. Ed is the oldest member of the Chanticleers, and will be turning 95 on October first.

By the way, the chorus is always looking for new members. If you sing in the shower or sing along when you hear a favorite tune, come give us a try. We are sure you will have an enjoyable time. The Chanticleers is a group of men who like to sing in 4-part harmony a repertoire of old favorites and new tunes. The chorus is available to provide entertainment for various groups in the Hot Springs Village area. Contact Roger York, Director, at 915-9585 for further information.
