Arrests in residential burglary this morning

At approximately 3:00 am this morning, Deputy Tyson Dunn and Cpl. Robbie Swinney received a call of Suspicious Activity around the boat docks of Echo Canyon Resort and Marina in Garland County.

On arrival they noticed a green van had driven down, and parked on, a cart path inside the gated and secured area of the docks. It was located with the doors open, and numerous items inside the van. As Dunn searched the boat docks, he located two suspects hiding on top of a houseboat. The window on the houseboat was open and the interior appeared to have been ransacked.

Another suspect was arrested on a second dock and two others were taken out of the lake, where they had attempted to hide from Deputies. The owner of the houseboat was contacted, responded and was able to identify some of the items in the van (which is registered to one of the suspects grandmother) as being stolen from his houseboat.

Additional items were located in the van and appear to have come from other houseboats in the docks but, at this point, the investigator's have not been able to make contact with the owners. Arrested were;
18 year old Matthew Burton
21 year old James Meece
21 year old Bradley Armstrong
21 year old Numa Garcia
17 year old juvenile (name withheld)

All have been charged with Residential Burglary and additional charges are pending as houseboat owners can be contacted.
