Fountan Lake arrests

Early yesterday the Garland County Sheriff's Office arrested six, including two juveniles, for Commercial Burglary, after being located by deputies during area checks.

At approximately 2:42 a.m. Deputies McConnell and Holland were on patrol in the Fountain Lake area when they received an alarm call at 3970 Park Avenue, the Fountain Lake Party Center.

On arrival, they found that the back door had been forcibly entered and that a large amount of alcohol and cigarettes had been stolen.

Approximately one hour and 45 minutes later, McConnell and Holland were doing an area check around 4200 block of Park when they noticed a gold van near the rear of 4223 Park with several occupants inside.

The deputies made contact with the occupants and noticed a strong odor of intoxicants (alcohol) coming from inside the van and observed several bottles of alcohol, one that had spilled and was still running out of the bottle, in plain site. There were also assorted cigarettes thrown about the van. A check of ID's revealed all of the occupants, but one, to be under the age of 21, with two of those being under 18.

The alcohol and cigarette items all matched what had been taken from the Fountain Lake Party Center.

18 year old Tyler Jester
