Senator Pryor honors Siloam Springs soldier

Statement by Senator Mark Pryor
On Tech Sergeant John W. Brown and Navy SEAL Master Chief Thomas Ratzlaff

Senator Mark Pryor made the following statement on the deaths of U.S. Air Force Tech Sergeant John W. Brown of Siloam Springs, AR and U.S. Navy SEAL Master Chief Thomas Ratzlaff of Green Forest, AR. Sergeant Brown, a member of the Air Force pararescue team, and Master Chief Ratzlaff, were killed Saturday after they helped rescue a U.S. Army Ranger unit from enemy fire.

Our nation calls upon our elite forces to do the toughest missions and they never waiver in answering that call. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Tech Sergeant John Brown and Navy SEAL Master Chief Thomas Ratzlaff, who gave their lives for our country. Sergeant Brown and Master Chief Ratzlaff served our nation with courage and honor, and our country will always remember their selfless service. My prayers are with the Brown and Ratzlaff families during this difficult time.
