On Wednesday, June 8, 2011 an accident occurred at the gravel pit area that was being used to store and mulch debris from the April storms. A longtime Hot Springs Village Property Owners’ Association employee, J R Fisher was killed while working at the grinder operation.
Fisher’s wife has been notified. As required by law, OSHA has been contacted and will be on site later this afternoon. The storm debris collection site off Terlingua is closed until further notice.
Fisher has worked in the Construction Division of the Department of Public Works since 1994.
