n Saturday, November 19th, Argenta Community Theater (ACT), located at 405 Main Street in North Little Rock, will host the 4th Annual Meeting of the Arkansas Community Theater Association (ARCTA).
The one-day event begins with registration at 8:15 a.m., with the welcome and business meeting starting at 9:00 and ends at 4:30 p.m. Sponsors for the event are Argenta Arts Foundation, Argenta Community Theater, and the THEA Foundation.
Participants will also learn practical ideas and discover valuable resources from the educational sessions scheduled throughout the day. Workshops include such topics are risk management, writing a play about your community, grant writing, developing youth programs, fundraising, and more.
Pre-registration and a registration fee of $25.00 should be submitted by November 4th. The registration fee is $35.00 after November 4th. The fee includes all workshops, lunch at the Starving Artist Café in North Little Rock, and other activities. ARCTA encourages individuals who represent theater groups to attend the Annual Meeting. Individuals who may not be affiliated with a particular organization are also encouraged to come. The meeting is open to anyone interested in this unique opportunity to network with community theaters from across the state.
The Arkansas Community Theater Association is a nonprofit organization that supports the continuation and expansion of community theaters in Arkansas through networking, resource sharing and education.
