At last night’s Players meeting the Theater of the Air radio program Candy Matson, Yukon 2-8208 was performed for a live audience.
The cast for the Players meeting included Patty Berke as Candy Matson, Jack Larsen stepping in for Don Crane as Rembrandt Wilson, Ron Petti as Lt. Ray Mallard, Roger Cannell as Dr. Jerome Moreland, Jack Iafrate stepping in for Jack Larsen as Doctor and he also appeared as the Coroner, Phil Ellis as Hotel Clerk, Kris Larsen stepped in for Mary Lou Moran as Tommy, David Major as Hans Middlestadt, Herm Dobscha as Police Officer and KVRE's John Chapman as Announcer. Jim Rowley directed the mystery and Jack Larsen was the producer.
KVRE aired five minute segments with teasers each morning for one week in early June.The Players throughly enjoyed the 30 minute play and especially enjoyed the sound effects.
Last night there were six visitors to the meeting and hopefully six new members. The Players meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Ouachita room of the Ponce de Leon Center.
