The tornado hitting Walnut Valley Road with such force is now considered to be the same tornado that tore through the Village, an EF3. The April 26 tornado significantly damaged around 200 homes in Hot Springs Village, nine commercial buildings and two churches.
According to POA general manager Scott Randall, "we have thousands of trees down on the common property and probably thousands more on the private lots."
The Coronado golf course was so damaged it is closed until further notice.
