Bathouse Big Band concert this Sunday

The Muses Creative Artistry Project proudly presents the Bathhouse Big Band in concert on Sunday, May 15 at 5:30 p.m. on the Arlington Lawn, across from the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa in beautiful downtown Hot Springs. The concert is offered to the public free of charge through the generous support of the Friends of the Fordyce and Hot Springs National Park.

The Bathhouse Big Band, led by New Orleans trombonist Steve Suter, is comprised of the some finest musicians in the country. World class players such as Bill Huntington and Clyde Pound are joined by talented local musicians Brandon Dorris, Dave Williams, Mike Copeland and Jay Payette. The music will be enhanced by the smooth vocal stylings of Ken Goodman of the Vienna Theatre, also in downtown Hot Springs.

The group will perform such all-time favorites as “All of Me,” “Jersey Bounce,” “In A Mellow Tone,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Sentimental Journey,” and others.

Originally organized on behalf of the Arkansas Theatre Works, the band will reunite on Sunday to perform some of the greatest big band tunes of all time. What better place to play and listen to beautiful music than the spacious stage on the Arlington Lawn, with the picturesque thermal water cascade nearby. Patrons are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket to relax and enjoy the performance.
