In an event co-hosted by the Garland County Historical Society and the Hot Springs Parks and Recreation Department, Janis Percefull will present an interpretive speech program for audiences at Kenneth Adair Memorial Park, 358 Central Avenue. The event schedule is as follows:
May 26 through September 2 - Fridays and Saturdays, 12:30 until 2:30 p.m.
July 4 and September 4, 5 - 12:30 until 3:30 p.m.
Presenting herself as a character from the 1890s, Ms. Percefull will discuss the historical development of Hot Springs including Americans' belief in the medical benefit of the Ouachita thermal waters. The program is aimed at helping visitors gain a better understanding of the history of Hot Springs and to gain knowledge of its structural features.
