The news continues to be the weather

This weekend there were more tornado watches and flood warnings. Village land is saturated and puddles are forming everywhere. I love the humorless electronic voice on the flood warnings, "turn around, don't drown."
The voice is right, be very cautious of any standing water. There was six-plus inches of rain this weekend. Many of the lakes in the Village are topping out and spilling over into nearby homes.
Winds last night topped out at 60 miles an hour. Enough already. Villagers need at least a week of sunshine to dry out and make repairs.
Unfortunately, today is not that day. The forecast calls for more wind and rain. The National Weather Service is forecasting showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 57. North northeast wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
Tonight calls for more showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 4 a.m. then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 a.m. Low around 44. North northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Yikes, enough of the rain already.
