According to Coronado Center Librarian Margaret Weeter the library continues to experience an increase in activity.
In August, 2010, usage was up by 9.2-percent over August of 2009. The increase for the first eight months of this year over the same time last year is up 7.4-percent.
There was one day in August when check outs were over 400 items, not counting the paperbacks. A normal day has about 250 items checked out on the computer. Paperbacks are not checked out on the computer system.
Weeter said the library is continuing to sell library membership even though the 2010 fees expire at the end of the year.
