Villagers on a mission to help in disasters ended up helping close to home

Twenty-five members of the Village United Methodist Church have been down at Sager Brown in Baldwin, Louisiana, helping put together relief kits for disasters. While they were down in Louisiana the tornado ripped through the Village.
To expedite matters, their return trip turned into a delivery trip. Glenn and Susan Wortham and Jerry Harkleroad drove a rental truck full of relief kits for Arkansas. The truck had 504 cleaning kits, they were called flood buckets following Katrina, 672 health kits and three boxes full of layette kits.
The relief supplies were taken to the Rice Depot in Little Rock for distribution to the disaster-struck areas. Another truck went to Tennessee and one to Alabama.
