Briefly, I saw the premiere of Marilyn, Forever Blonde! last night at the Central Theatre in Hot Springs. I was blown away by Sunny Thompson's portrayal of Marilyn Monroe. Immediately I was enthralled with Marilyn's Hollywood stories. Thompson channeled Monroe. What a great way for Arkansas TheatreWorks to start its premiere season. Marilyn, Forever Blonde! runs through May 15. The ticket price is a bargain. It is a wonderful night's entertainment.
Today, Sunny Thompson will be in the KVRE studios at 10 a.m., at the HSV Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. and at the Rotary Club of Scenic 7 at Mollie O'Brien's on Highway 7 at noon. Several opportunities to meet Thompson or Monroe in the Village today.
