In the midst of all the storm recovery, both Garland and Saline Counties held Operation Medicine Cabinet to dispose of outdated and unused medicines.
The citizens of Garland County turned in over 248,000 pills at the drop off locations.
There has been more than half a million pills turned in over the last ten months. The Sheriff Departments burn the unused medications keeping them from being reintroduced into our water systems or from falling into the wrong hands.
