Unofficial midterm election results

Garland County appears to go republican in a big way from the ground up.
The Garland County quorum court now has republicans in the majority. The seats in districts 1, 4, 5, 9, 11 and 12 all went republican. Villager Larry Griffin maintained his seat in district 11. Donald Laymon won the district 12 seat.
Senator Blanche Lincoln lost her seat to John Boozman.
Mike Ross retained his 4th district congressional seat.
Tim Giffin won the 2nd district congressional seat.
In state elections, votes are split and a few races are still too close to call. All three issues passed.
Governor Beebe handily retained his seat. The Lt. Governor race between Mark Darr and Shane Broadway is still up for grabs. Dustin McDaniel won big for attorney general. Mark Martin will be the next secretary of state. Martha Shoffner will remain as treasurer. Charlie Daniels will be state auditor. John Thurston won land commissioner.
Karen Baker will be the supreme court associate justice.
Bill Sample took the state senate district 19 seat.
Jeremy Hutchinson took the state senate district 22 seat.
David Saunders took state representative district 31 seat.
Garland County results.
Rick Davis will serve as Garland County judge. Sarah Smith will be taking over as county clerk. Tommy Thompson will be the new assessor. Tim Stockdale will become the new treasurer. It looks like Jeannie Pike will become the new circuit clerk of court.
Saline County results.
Bruce Pennington will remain as Saline County sheriff. Dennis Milligan will become the circuit clerk. Joy Ballard will become the tax collector.
None of the above results have been certified.
