We lost one of the greats yesterday

If there were ever a reason for flags to fly half staff here in the Village it is with the passing of Sue Mefford yesterday. Sue was a tireless volunteer on POA committees here in the Village and greeting drivers passing through the Village gates. She was active in the Players and her church. She was always there with a funny remark and a helping hand.

I first met Sue and her husband Paul at a Players meeting. Within a week there she was again at the Recreation Committee. Recently, she became a member of the newly formed Administrative Fines Appeals Committee.

Sue passed away while having heart surgery. I will miss Sue Mefford as I am sure many of you will. Keep Paul and their children in your thoughts and prayers over the difficult times to come.
