Martin on Parliament

Statement from Lt. James "Corky" Martin of the Garland County Sheriff's Department:

Yesterday afternoon one of our employees, Cpl. Neil Parliament, was arrested by Federal authorities.

Per policy, and at the advice of the County Attorney, we do not discuss or disclose personnel issues during an investigation, therefore we will not discuss, release details of, answer questions or hold interviews relating to this matter. It is our understanding, from media sources, that U.S. Attorney Connor Eldridge will be holding a press release on this investigation in the near future.

Any questions related to the allegations or charges should be directed to the appropriate agency.

Until we can receive further information on the details of his arrest, his employment status will be suspended without pay.
