Knights of Columbus’ Annual Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities is set for Friday, October 8.
The annual fall Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities, CPID, with the dispensing of tootsie rolls to donors, is a signature charity for the Knights of Columbus to raise funds for a very worthy cause. Led by Phil Carl and Milt Spaniel, the knights will conduct their campaign 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 8 (October 15 rain date), at strategic locations including the following gates, East, West, Balboa, Glazier Peau, and Danville, both Cranford's stores, Fuel Stop, and Walmart.
In addition to soliciting donations from the community, the knights themselves respond to an internal appeal to supplement the community campaign. All of the funds raised will stay in Arkansas with 85-percent going to the local council’s three designated charities, First Step School in Hot Springs, National Camps for the Blind, and Special Olympics. The State KC Council supports Arc of Arkansas in Little Rock with its 15-percent.
