Glenhaven benefit

Woodlands Presbyterian Church is excited to announce the Hot Springs Village Big Band has generously donated its talent and time to hold a benefit concert May 1, 7:00 PM at the church in support of Glenhaven Youth Ranch. The theme of the concert is Songs of Inspiration and Patriotism with a beat. The WPC Choir and selected vocalists, Kenny McKay, Dan Utter, Pam Turner, David Major and Maureen Morgan will also participate in the concert. There is no charge for the concert, but a free will offering will be collected. Glenhaven receives no governmental funds for operating expenses and students are not turned away because of their inability to pay. Glenhaven residents have histories that often include abandonment and abuse, each child at Glenhaven is offered a Christian centered home at the ranch where a young teen with a troubled past can build healthy, personal relationships through an intricate weaving together of activities, counseling, and education. The support of charitable organizations like Woodlands Presbyterian Church makes Glenhaven able to offer an environment that successfully promotes healing, change, and growth in the lives of teens and their families, equipping these hurting children with tools to help them overcome the disappointments of their past lives. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
