Early Friday morning there were 750 homes in the Village without power, First Electric homes. Entergy had a few outages on the outskirts of the Village.
Friday afternoon at 3 p.m there were still 343 homes without power. By 4 p.m. it was down to five homes without power. First Electric stayed with the five homes until power was restored or left off because of danger to the homes.
It was a harrowing day for many Villagers. Clean up was underway all over the Village by Entergy, First Electric and the POA. One woman on Encantada Lane said her street looked like a war zone with tress down everywhere.
For as bad as the wee hours of Friday morning were the weather has been gorgeous ever since. Not too hot. Lots of sunshine. Today continues in that vein. Have a good day.
